About RiveScript HQ

The RiveScript Headquarters (RSHQ) is the community built around the development and standardization of RiveScript. While RiveScript itself was first created in 2005 as a Perl module, the RSHQ was started in January 2008 as a central place to coordinate the further development of RiveScript.

The scripting language, RiveScript, is used primarily in development of chatterbots and other conversational entities, as a more simplified (yet more powerful) alternative to the Artificial Intelligence Markup Language, AIML. To learn more about RiveScript, see What is RiveScript?.

The RiveScript HQ not only serves as a central place for RiveScript development, but also offers resources for new bot programmers, or veteran bot programmers who want to migrate to RiveScript.
